We offer a 30-day return policy on eligible items from the date of delivery.
At 4X4 Offroad, we stand behind the quality of the products we supply. Due to the technical and electrical nature of many of our 12V products, return conditions apply. This policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
1. 30-Day Returns
We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of delivery.
2. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, the item must:
- Be unused, uninstalled, and not connected to power
- Be in original packaging
- Include all accessories, manuals, wiring components, and mounting hardware
- Be in resaleable condition
- Be accompanied by proof of purchase
3. Important – Electrical Products
Due to safety, compliance, and resale requirements, installed or used electrical products are not eligible for change-of-mind return.
We do not accept change-of-mind returns on products that:
- Have been installed or mounted
- Have been wired, powered, or connected to a battery
- Show signs of installation, including cut wires, mounting marks, or terminal marks
- Have damaged or missing packaging
- Have been modified in any way
4. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are not eligible for change-of-mind return:
- Installed electrical components
- Custom or special-order items
- Clearance or final sale items
- Opened battery products
- Used fuses or circuit protection devices
- Cut cable or wiring sold by the metre
5. Change of Mind Returns
We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery on eligible items only. Approved change-of-mind returns may be subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover handling, inspection, repackaging, merchant transaction fees, and inventory processing.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
6. Return Shipping Costs
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns
- If the item is faulty, damaged, or incorrect, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs where applicable

Please include:
- Your order number
- Photos of the item and packaging
- The reason for return
Do not send items back without written approval. Unauthorised returns may be refused.
Online orders may also be returned in-store by prior approval at:

8. Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, any approved refund will be issued to your original payment method.
Please allow 3–5 business days after approval for processing, depending on your payment provider.
9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If a product is faulty, not as described, not fit for purpose, or does not perform as advertised, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
We may require the item to be returned for testing and assessment before a remedy is issued.
If the product is found not to be faulty, including issues caused by incorrect installation, wiring error, water ingress, reverse polarity, incorrect fuse sizing, physical damage, or modification, it may not qualify as a warranty claim and may be returned at the customer’s expense.
10. Warranty Claims & Electrical Testing
Many 12V products must be assessed and tested by the manufacturer before a warranty claim is approved.
We reserve the right to:
- Send the item to the manufacturer for testing
- Decline warranty where failure is caused by incorrect installation, incorrect fuse sizing, over-voltage, reverse polarity, water ingress, physical damage, or modification
We strongly recommend professional installation for products such as DC chargers, inverters, brake controllers, and lithium battery systems. Improper installation may void warranty.
11. Shipping Damage
If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery and provide photos of the packaging and product damage. We will assist with a replacement or courier claim where applicable.
12. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
