The Elecbrakes VM1 Mounted Brake Controller is a game-changer for those towing multiple trailers, eliminating the need for individual brake controllers on each trailer. By mounting directly to your vehicle, it allows you to manage up to five customised braking profiles, each tailored to different trailers and driving conditions. The Dynamic Slope Compensation feature automatically adjusts braking based on terrain, offering smooth and controlled braking whether you’re heading uphill or downhill. Designed to work with any 12V or 24V vehicle and trailer setup, the VM1 is wired directly to your power source and trailer socket, supporting 1-3 brake axles with a capacity range of 750-4500kg ATM.
Built to withstand the elements, it’s IP67 rated for dust, water, and weather resistance, making it ideal for rough conditions. The controller’s Bluetooth wireless connectivity connects directly to your smartphone and works seamlessly with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing for real-time diagnostics and control directly from your dashboard.
It’s compatible with Electric Over Hydraulic brake systems and can be mounted inside or outside the vehicle for ultimate flexibility.

The VM1 & EB2 now includes SwayControl — a world-first safety innovation built directly into the brake controller. SwayControl continuously monitors your trailer’s movement in real time. If sway is detected, it applies smooth, proportional braking to bring the trailer back under control — automatically and without driver intervention.
Unlike external sway control devices, Elecbrakes delivers this protection with no extra hardware, no additional installation, and no extra cost.
