The MRBF Battery Fuse Block provides a compact and secure way to protect high-current battery cables and connected equipment. Its space-saving design allows the fuse to be positioned close to the battery or primary power source, helping protect the cable against overloads and short circuits before it travels through the vehicle, canopy, caravan or electrical system.
It is suitable for protecting equipment such as:
- Auxiliary batteries
- DC–DC battery chargers
- Inverters
- Canopy power systems
- High-current distribution systems
- Solar and off-grid systems
- Caravan and camper electrical systems
- Marine battery systems
Compact MRBF fuse design
MRBF fuses use a secure bolt-down connection that is well suited to high-current automotive and marine installations.
The fuse mounts directly between the holder’s terminals, creating a firm electrical connection while keeping the overall installation compact. The protective cover helps shield the terminals and fuse from accidental contact, dropped tools and environmental exposure.
Choose the correct fuse rating
The fuse rating must be selected according to the connected cable and equipment not simply the maximum output of the battery.
Available fuse ratings may vary. Always ensure the selected MRBF fuse:
- Does not exceed the cable’s safe current capacity
- Meets the equipment manufacturer’s requirements
- Does not exceed the fuse holder’s maximum rating
- Is suitable for the expected continuous and surge current
